My Why

I am running to represent the people of District 66 because I love this community and have been deeply invested in it since I arrived here nearly 20 years ago. I know what we in fast-growing 29708 need:

  • More public infrastructure funding (a lot more!)

  • Fully funded public schools (stop the tax increases!)

  • Proactive public safety measures (keep Charlotte crime out!)

Most of all, we need a functioning state government that recognizes the challenges we face, as well as lawmakers who work together to make a positive impact. So, when I was approached by local leaders and state lawmakers to run against my Freedom Caucus-backed opponent, how could I say no? This dark money-funded group has fractured the strength of the Republican Party in South Carolina and they need to be stopped.

I live by our Rotary motto: Service Over Self. This is my why. Running for office isn’t easy. But our community deserves a leader they can trust to represent their interests - not special or dark money interests - in Columbia. I hope to be that leader for you. Don’t forget to vote on June 11th!
